VSSL is a company my good buddy Preston Hoffman introduced me to. They make some really rad outdoor geared products like a first aid kit and customizable kits that can be anything from fire starting kits to a camp spice rack.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on their new VSSL Java prototype which hasn’t hit the market yet. It’s a portable and durable coffee grinder for when you’re on a long hike or just hitting the lake for the day. It grinds an great cup of joe. I pair it with my Aeropress and man, you can’t go wrong.

Coffee On The Go

I met surfer and fellow photographer Helen for this shoot at one of my favorite spots on the coast here in Oregon. The wildfire smoke had blown in about an hour before the shoot and really hazed up the sky.

Helen made her first cup of coffee with it on the beach with ease. That’s what I love about it. It’s simple, portable and damn if it doesn’t look great too. It should be hitting the market next year sometime so keep your eyes peeled for it. I have a feeling it’s going to be a hot seller.
